oh by the way

did y'all notice my new look? i thought it was appropriate since i'm such a beach-y girl. ok, i've never been to the beach. i think i'd like it, though.

jammin' out

yep - my first concert. well i actually heard quite a few before i was born (social d and acl fest!), but this one i got to see, too. i went with mom, pop and uncle johnnie to shady grove last night and we grubbed down on hippie sandwiches, fries and veggie nachos while jamming to ray wylie hubbard. it was a pretty cool show, but it was still darn hot out there.

so it was my first, but i plan on a lot soon! after all, blues on the green just started up.

long time, i know

i've been bugging mom & pop to type this for me, but they've been "busy." yeah, right. i've been easy on them lately, what do they mean "busy?" anyway - now i got mom to do this for me.

so a lot has been going on since i last updated y'all!

• i'm almost sitting up on my own, which is pretty cool. i'll be glad when i can see things from a different angle.
  
• my hair is starting to grow a bit!
• um. i have a new best friend - her name is gracy marie and she was born last week, but i haven't met her yet. i know we'll be best friends, though. since i'm so much older i'll show her how to do stuff!
  
• i'm practicing talking A LOT. i should have this down in no time.
  
• i'm also into holding my own bottle when dad feeds me. it would be a lot easier if my folks would give me a sippy cup with some handles, but momma is scared i'll spill her liquid gold. ha! doesn't taste like gold to me.

my folks have been using this thing they call "buddy magic" for a while now. i call it totally unfair. whenever they give me one of my buddies i can't help it: i put my thumb in my mouth and start getting really relaxed, sometimes even sleepy. not cool at all. even if i don't have my buddy (which is a small super soft blankie with a stuffed animal head) they will give me any fabric-type thing and i do the same thing! buddy fraud i call it.

i didn't tell y'all!!! omg. i got flips! ok, not flips, but they're close. let's not get technical here.

ok. i've got some stuff to do this afternoon. i'll post more later.

me & pop-pop

a lot has been going on with me lately! this past weekend pop-pop came to visit. i liked hanging out with him. his lap is really the perfect place for naps.

my cousin livi came to visit me this week! she's a big kid - she even held me. i wanted to play with her, but i still wasn't feeling myself. my cold is almost gone, though. 

should i go pro?

as a swimsuit model, of course! check out my new duds - the bottoms are totally plastic, what's up with that? 

how could i forget?

i can't believe i forgot to write about this. check this out: on friday my mom and pop left me with the neighbors! apparently it was my mom's birthday and they wanted to go out to dinner without me. can you imagine the nerve?

at first it was ok - i napped for a while after they left. then i decided i should let sam, david and ethan know that i was ready for my folks to be back. so i cried. and i barfed on sam. and i pooed a big loud one. and i cried some more.

in retrospect i guess i should have been nicer - after all sam is like 14 months pregnant. but i was trying to help ethan know what the next few months have in store for him! i'll be nice to him one day, though...he's pretty cute.

this stinks

i'm not a big fan of this "sick" thing. runny, stuffy nose, cough, fever - it's no fun! but i didn't let it get me down. i'm still a smilin' happy baby.

the doc says he doesn't know what it is. i think i'm getting better already, though!

a sad day

today i went with pop-pop and momma to the vet. we had to take our sweet little dog nandi in to be put to sleep. she has been with my mom for 14 years - since she was a tiny puppy. my momma is very sad, but we are all glad to know she's happier now. i bet she even smells good in heaven!

we'll miss you sweet nandi. you won't have to sniff at the door for them to let you in.

it's when i get to take a nap without my diaper. i love it - it just feels so...liberating. i think i'll take one right now!

the boogie woogie piggy

this weekend Olivia, one of my big-kid friends, had her dance recital. she did great! i thought it was really cool to see all of the bright, colorful costumes on the stage.

i'm thinking in a year or two i might totally dig strutting my stuff on stage too!

rainy day bookworm

what i really like to do on rainy days is curl up in the big blue chair with a good book. what's on my bookshelf these days you ask? one sunny day - i have the english, french and spanish version, but i'm reading the spanish first.
