umm, like how did i forget?

that my momma is going to be home with me! yep. her last day at dell is 28september. woohoo!

she's going to work two days per week on a little organic farm near our house and then she's going to do bookeeping at home when i'm napping. i don't know what bookkeeping is, but i think it has numbers. and my momma is good with numbers - she can even do multiplication! so if you need some bookkeeping call my momma. : )

e.c. is cool. (no, this isn't a duplicate)

this e.c. stands for elimination communication. i've been trying to communicate with those crazy parental units for, oh, seven months, but they are just now catching on. so on sunday momma decided to listen. she took me to go potty in the sink and i peed. (ok, i know what you're thinking, but urine is sterile. your toothpaste spit has more germs than my pee! plus, she washes out the sink.) then we went shopping and we didn't make it to the potty. but when we got home i peed in the yard (yes, i'm a hippie child) and again in the sink twice. i didn't pee in my diaper for over 12 hours! what-WHAT?!

monday momma was working from home, but she was super busy so we didn't catch any pees. tuesday and wednesday i was with poppa and i dont' think we caught any then either. thursday, however, was a big day. I PEED IN MY POTTY! don't believe me? check me out























so what that that was the only "catch" of the day! it was on a big-girl potty. how freaking cute do i look? pretty freakin' cute.

anyway, this is a gradual learning process with me and my folks. well, it's me teaching my folks. and those of you that know them know that that's not an easy feat! so we'll keep you posted on my progress towards a diaper-free life.

ahh....

a weekend at home!!! hurray! we spent the second weekend in september at home. my first weekend at home in SIX WEEKS. don't get me wrong: i love getting my travel on. but i don't think you'll disagree that that was extreme.

it was really cool too because meme and pappy came to visit me. i like hanging out with them. we watched the ut-osu game on saturday. tia and travis came over to watch with us. on sunday i went shoppin' with meme and momma. momma had to return some stuff, but i managed to get out of there with a pretty sweet green velour track suit. watch out! (of course that was from meme and pappy - they are so sweet)

AGAIN?

yep. now we're in september. labor day weekend to be exact. momma, poppa and i drove out to fredericksburg to see pop-pop. i hadn't seen him in a long time and he had his new girlfriend with him. her name is leigh and she's pretty nice.

the house we went to was renee and jason's. a lot of people were there and i really enjoyed hanging out with everyone. there were a bunch of chickens running around - even a bunch of little chicks! they were so cute. there were also dogs and cats. i had fun when poppa took me walking all around out in the woods.

girl-talk

the fourth weekend in september momma and i drove to conroe to see aunt keely's new house, visit with aunt keely, cousin olivia and justin and attend olivia's birthday party. it was a pretty cool drive. ok, i slept pretty much the whole way so i don't know if it was a cool drive or not. what-ever!

aunt keely's new house is so cool! she even has horses next door. i will definitely be visiting there again. i stayed up late with the ladies chatting around the table, but those hens outlasted me. when i woke up i got to meet justin - aunt keely's boyfriend. he's pretty cool, too.

after that a bunch of people started showing up: meme, pappy, linda, olivia, and tons of other guests. the party was a lot of fun. there was even a pinata!

the drive home, however, sucked. big time. (uh, hello - FOUR weekends in a row in a carseat?!) the three hour trip took us about five hours total. momma stopped and let me play and stretch my legs three times, but then she said "let's just get home." yeah, easy for her to say - she's facing forward. so i cried. a lot. eventually i guess i fell asleep because when i woke up we were HOME! yay!

i'm a river gal

my very first camping trip. well, at least my first one out of momma's belly! and it was H-O-T hot. but i stayed cool as a cucumber in the river. i brought along my inflatable speedboat with a retractable hard-top, some swim diapers and my bikini. i rolled tia-style without my bikini, though!

yeah, it was a great time. i even slept in the tent. well, the first night at least. the second night momma let me get too tired out by the campfire so i needed a good cry to get to sleep. momma and poppa decided the rest of the campground probably didn't want to hear all that, so they took me up to the cabin to sleep. a/c is nice. plastic mattresses are not.

i am SO ready for our fall camping extravaganza! lost maples? inks lake? big bend? bring it on.

headin' to holly hill

so the second weekend in august i headed out with momma and uncle johnny to meet my great-granny donna for the first time. she lives out in the woods near lockhart: a place she calls holly hill. we stopped on the way and uncle johnny bought a HUGE watermelon. it was bigger than me!

i had a great time meeting granny donna and playing with her. she thinks i'm the cutest. smart gal. too bad my scatter-brained mom forgot her camera! jeez. i'll have to post a picture of me and granny donna the next time i go see her.

e.c. is cool

so the first weekend in august me, momma and poppa drove down to el campo for my great-great aunt effie's birthday party. my poppa's poppa's family is all from el campo and this was the first time i got to meet them. they are all so nice! and there are so many kids to play with...once i can move around.
